What is Macon Arts?
Macon Arts supports and coordinates artists and arts organizations in Macon and Central Georgia.
Macon Arts advocates for the arts and distributes funding for artists and art organizations.
Macon Arts educates Central Georgians about the arts and facilitates integration of the arts into all areas of learning.
Macon Arts plans the community's cultural growth and development.
Formed in 1985, Macon Arts is a nonprofit organization funded in part by City of Macon, Bibb County, Georgia Council for the Arts, Office of the Governor, and through corporate and private contributions.
Macon Arts serves more than40 arts nonprofit organizations, three fine arts magnet schools, the music and art departments of five colleges and universities and a burgeoning community of artists in all media. Through the Grassroots Arts Program, Macon Arts supports a 13-county region including Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Crawford, Dodge, Houston, Jones, Laurens, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Twiggs and Wilkinson, counties with a combined population of more than 500,000 people.

- The Gallery at Macon Arts, featuring work by over 100 Georgia artists, with monthly rotating featured exhibits
- Bibb County Institute for the Arts, a partnership between Bibb County Public Schools and the arts
- Fired Works, regional show and sale featuring work by 50 ceramic artists
- Taste of Music, annual fundraising event pairing great food and entertainment with unique auction items and art, to benefit the educational programs of Macon Arts
- Macon Arts Round Table, with over 40 member organizations
- Annual Macon Arts Cultural Awards
- Re-granting agency for Purchase of Art Services grants from the City of Macon and Grassroots Arts Program grants from the Georgia Council for the Arts
