Artist statement…

Jerry and Kathy Chappelle are married, professional artists who currently reside in Greensboro, Georgia.

Jerry received his B.S. from Murray State University in Kentucky and his MFA from the University of Minnesota. He has lectured at the University of Indiana, University of Delaware and has been a visiting artist with the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, Cornell University,Louisiana State University,School of the Art Institute of Chicago, John C. Campbell Folk School and many more.

Kathy was educated at Williams Woods College, Callenwolde Art Center in Atlanta and Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. Kathy is the owner of Chappelle Gallery. She has been on and/or is currently on the boards of Georgia Mountain Crafts, 441 Heritage Highway Development, Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation and the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce.

Jerry and Kathy Chappelle have two children.
